Meet Betty

Hello! I'm Betty. 

Not really.  Shotgun and I assumed alter ego's for the trip.  It's better that way...

As I was saying, I'm Betty.  I am from Alaska and Shotgun and I have been friends since the first day of High School more than 20 years ago.
Shotgun recently decided to move back to Alaska from Minnesota and I flew down to join her and (hopefully) make the trip home a little easier...or at least more fun I hope!  I've always wanted to drive the Alcan and now's my chance.  (There may have been a small bribe to let me shop at Ikea and stow it in the trailer too...)


Oh...and it looked like this in my back yard just a few days ago...

I love Alaska, but in mid-May even I have my limits. It's even supposed to be spring here by now! Don't blame me for wanting to escape the cold!

Anyhow, I thought it would be fun to document our trip via blog.  I hope that we have some great adventures worth sharing, and I look forward to sharing it with you!
